Mr. Voorhies started his career with Exxon USA and later worked for Pioneer Natural Resources as the Lead Geophysicist for the team working South Texas and the Ark-La-Tex. He later spent several years in energy finance with Bank of America where he underwrote and participated in billions of secured and unsecured debt financing for both public and private E&Ps. Mr. Voorhies has co-founded two successful startups: one focused on the Austin Chalk and Eagle Ford that culminated in a joint venture with Petrohawk and a second focused on an East Texas tight oil play that was sold to a large public independent. Mr. Voorhies graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelor’s degree in geology and physics and from the Colorado School of Mines with a Master’s degree in geophysics.
