A horizontal Eagle Ford Shale completion in Eagleville Field was announced by GulfTex Energy III LP. The Karnes County (RRC District 2), Texas, well, #1H TBK Unit, produced 1.2 Mbbl of 42-degree-gravity crude, 868 Mcf of gas and 1.6 Mbbl of water per day. Production from acid- and fracture-treated perforation at 11,110-15,301 ft. Tested on a 30/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 1,500 psi. The San Antonio based-based company’s venture was drilled to 15,426 ft, 11,358 true vertical, in Nathaniel Reed Survey, A-246. It bottomed nearly one mile to the southeast. A second test is planned at #2H TBK Unit within one mile to the northeast with a proposed true vertical depth of 11,500 ft.
